Exactamundo: The Metal-Faced Villain Returns with Czarface

It's DOOM.

As the alias attests, DOOM is a man of many masks.  Whether you prefer your Metal Face of the Doomsday variety or devouring knishes, few would deny that Daniel Dumile is at his best at his most villainous: all off-kilter rhymes and beer-boozy goodness.  While his last few outings have been peculiar placeholders in his decades-spanning discography, his guest rhymes on Czarface’s “Ka-Bang!” show DOOM is still a MF when it counts.

Czarface, the side project of Inspectah Deck, 7L and Esoteric, are preparing to drop the sophomore follow-up to their self-named debut on June 16th, 2015 via Brick Records.  Entitled Every Hero Needs a Villain, the album will feature guest verses by a murderer’s row of rhymers, including Method Man, GZA, Large Professor, JuJu of The Beatnuts, RA The Rugged Man and Meyhem Lauren.  To make sure you go out and buy it, “Ka-Bang!” is the first single available for your ears.  DOOM shows he still is capable of owning a mic, and the members of Czarface more than hold their own.  Gritty seldom sounds this clean.

If you don’t want to listen to an entire Czarface song, here’s a stream/download of just DOOM’s verse:
