I, Ced - Promo - 5 - Horizontal

Chris Daly prays to the twerk gods every morning.

If the bass thumps correctly, all else will fall into place. Once the booty starts wiggling, the universe and its various muses tend to have a way of figuring things out. Burbank-by-way-of-St.Louis’ I, CED received the memo and puts it into play on his latest single, “Wildest Dreams.” Dropping just before the Sept. 23rd release date of his forthcoming debut, What Are We Looking For? on MoveNext Media Music, Fat Beats has the distribution honors.

With production duties split between I, CED and Om’Mas Keith, the sunny day groove starts with a bubbling, bumping bass line before quickly falling somewhere between Toeachizown Dam-Funk and Sign O’ The Times (specifically “Play in the Sunshine”) Prince on the funk scale. Taking a break from frequent collaborator TOKiMONSTA, Suzi Analogue adds airy backing vocals to the mix, making this, quite simply, “happy to be alive” music in all the best ways. Telling a tale of new love that may or may not have a shelf life of its own, the message is to live and love for the moment. Good advice, always.
