All Your Bass Are Belong To Us Vol. 2 by Son Raw on Mixcloud

Once again it’s on! After the strong reaction to my first official bass mix, I’m unleashing yet another hour of hard-hitting, international sounds on the unsuspecting world, this time with cover photography by the one and only Dan Love of FDB fame. I’d hype this up more but truthfully, these posts are the hardest ones to write: it’s easy to intellectualize other people’s art but writing about your own shit is just weird. What I can say about the tunes in the mix (including quite a few I’ve previously written about) is that they’re all choice cuts highlighting the freshest sounds in Bass music worldwide. This time around the emphasis is on some of the funkier styles coming out of London, Johannesburg, Detroit, Philly and Bristol and the result is easily the most dance-oriented blend I’ve ever made. Don’t worry though, I keep it tough and hard hitting, although there is a saxophone solo and a Bobby Brown remake in there somewhere. So stream, download, comment! And peep the tracklist after the jump! Enjoy! Exclamation points!
