Right in the time for the second season of Jersey Shore, Bristol’s best (until Joker releases a full-length), Guido drops a podcast for XLR8R, full of some of his lesser-known tunes and tracks from Gemmy, Peverelist, and Pinch. I assume that most of the readership is unfamiliar with those names. They’re a trio of British vaudeville revivalists, one of whom has a serious groping problem that has led to sundry legal problems (since resolved). Occasionally, they make dubstep music. Sach O dropped an extensive review on Anidea, which remains one of my favorite albums of the year. My brain is as fried as a county fair artichoke, so I’ll defer to him for context. In the meantime, blow dry your hair, get a fake tan, and listen to this mix.
