This mix is inspired by all the nights I’ve spent of late sweating on the balcony of my downtown Edmonton apartment. The heatwave that’s struck the city, coupled with all the intermittent thunderstorms has created some damn hot and humid evenings this summer. It hasn’t quite reached Do the Right Thing levels of sultriness, but it’s getting there.

The following tracklist, like my evenings, is a shade darker and more lethargic. If the combined effect of these songs is even half as hot as Rosie Perez circa 1989, they will have served their purpose.

Tracklist below the jump.
