Sach O shouldn’t mix drinks.

Even I who usually abhor the sporting life, am gearing up to watch the big game as soon as I ward off last night’s hangover but at the risk of being contrarian, I’ll avoid posting anything “Black and Yellow” related here lest I incur the wrath of Zeus. Besides, did you know that today is Bob Marley’s birthday? Fact. That’s just one of the many tidbits I learned from American Dubstep don Joe Nice last night before he flattened Montreal with an avalanche of unreleased dubs from the biggest names in the biz. From unreleased Mala to Zomby to Addison Groove, Nice made the trek through snowmageddon worth it, rewarding the massive with the heaviest bass I’ve heard in forever in the perfect venue for this kind of oldschool clinic. Needless to say, top notch Saturday night and a massive shout goes to J’aime le Dubstep for putting it on.

For those of you who’d rather not hear me brag about how awesome my weekend was, I offer up this undated Rinse FM radio session courtesy of Skream. Featuring Benga, Chef, Hijak, LD and Plastician with Sgt. Pokes on the mic and going on for an absurd 4 hours, it’s the perfect mix of straight-faced dark tunneage with drunken camaraderie from back when it was all so simple. Stella drinkers probably watch more Futbol than Football but this comes highly recommended for pre-game drinks.
