Do you really need to read another panegyric on the Low End Theory? No. What more needs to be said about a place that had surprise sets from Odd Future and Thom Yorke in consecutive weeks (my review of the latter is here for the interested). It’s been four months since the last podcast, a period in which the venue expanded to San Francisco and has become a veritable premiere tourist attraction for Los Angeles (DISCOUNT PACKAGE w/ Disneyland and Hollywood Blvd.)

A GLK podcast is an automatic must-download. Kanye and Jay-Z’s “The Joy,” bone-dissolving bass, Double Rainbow clips, obscure psych-rock, “Happiness is a Warm Gun,” and a brief appearance by OJ Da Juiceman. A stroll through the subconscious of one of America’s best DJ’s. British-born Jon Hopkins holds down the back end. A frequent collaborator with Brian Eno and remixer of Nosaj Thing, David Lynch, and others, Hopkins makes it one set closer to an Eno visit, where he can discover a different meaning of another green world.
