In which the former Stones Throw intern hands his old employers a sun-pocked 32-minute platter of funk, soul, hip-hop, and electronic. Said the label: “We’ve been talking with Lotus for a long while about a mix for the Stones Throw podcast. Here’s one he just sent over … no theme, no loops, just “records found in the valley.”  No track list available at the moment, though I would like to know which record shops these were purchased from. Freakbeat? CD Trader? These are the important things. The mix is an ideal salve for a Monday morning, but more importantly, it’s nice to know that there are people left in LA who don’t exclusively buy their records from Amoeba.
