Son Raw is off his meds.

We didn’t post Rella to this site because frankly, it wasn’t worth your time. Trolling Centaur-Tyler and a Pitchfork-annoying bitchslap weren’t enough to cover the fact that Hodgy and Domo aren’t the two guys you want holding down a crew album and the whole thing felt depressingly D12ish. The problem wasn’t so much overexposure as the effects of that overexposure: where the collective’s early videos were raw, low-budget affairs, Rella’s glossy hyper-color and by-the-numbers verses exposed Odd Future’s achiles heel (I.E: they’re kind of average on the mic.) NY (Ned Flanders) corrects some of this, the video is still on the corny side but the song’s minor key piano melody and chord changes harks back to some of their best work and both Hodgy and Tyler deliver the shock rap they’re known for. It’s the kind of tune that’ll probably sound better shout-rapped live by an unruly crowd but frankly, that’s probably what we should expect from them for now unless Tyler really is working with BadBadNotGood. All I know is that Radical is still incredible and I want to hear these guys rip the Rack City beat.
