Since Russell Westbrook dresses like the new Timbale player in Hot Chip, it’s only fitting that I post the British disco goofs essential mix for the BBC. We’ve been through this before, so I don’t need to wax redundant about the highs of English public radio. Hot Chip are of that peculiar strain of pallid Anglo-Saxons who are unusually funky despite looking as square as Marty Funkhauser. That is commendable. As is their mix, set off by Cameo, Prince, and Bruce Haack, and finishing with solo work from Maravishnu Orchestra members. They play a Wiley track in the middle, presumably for Sach. Hot Chip know things is what I’m saying.
