Moon Duo make murderous chainsaw roars danceable. Danceable by 60s standards. Not by cat daddy or 2Chainz hallmarks of excellence.  I could see “Sleepwalker” soundtracking a lost scene from Factory Girl where Edie Sedgwick and Andy Warhol dance with some androgynous turtlenecked German industrialists interested in investing in Chelsea Girls. One is named Klaus because no Teutonic stereotype can occur without someone being named Klaus.

Press bio name-checks on the new Moon Duo here include Suicide, Silver Apples, and Velvet Underground. I hear a lot of Lou on amphetamines here — the White Light/White Heat dirges that evaporate into puddles of sweat. It’s all about that album cover though. Little Nemo’s Adventures in Slumberland gone completely insane. This is a good album to put your child to sleep to if you want them to grow up, move to Stuttgart, and become a busker covering Throbbing Gristle.
