I’ve never been a huge Fat Trel fan, partially because it is hard for me to wholly appreciate someone who would name his crew The Slutty Boyz. But this is probably my favorite thing I have heard from him. The GBE auto-tune goon-croon is a good look and this song is a mournful wail to play at closed casket funerals. It’s a reminder that rap isn’t always skilled entertainment to celebrate on Twitter, but also a vessel for mourning. The summer is always too hot. Doomed laments and blood all over the computer plug-in.
