At this time, Chris Daly would prefer not to divulge whether or not he has taken a drug.

From former first ladies to your jerk wad boss, there’s not shortage of people telling you to just say no to drugs, and hey, who wants their brains for breakfast? Sure, dogs look great in trench coats when they’re tickling the ivories, but isn’t it about time that someone other than Bill Hicks steps to the front of the line to say, you know, the right drugs with the right people at the right place and the right time also can be a pants-load of fun? Along with the dynamic duo, EARTHGANG, TOKiMONSTA is here to share that perspective in “Fried for the Night,” the latest single for her upcoming album, Oasis Nocturno.
With short, clipped bars from Olu and WowGr8, TOKi drops a hazy, tick-tock beat the boys quickly make their own.  While the single itself is a low key banger, it’s the video that takes things to the next level. Recounting what looks like the best house party this side of Kid ‘n Play, viewers are treated to a smoked out, dopely dressed group of groovers getting high enough to catch ducks with a rake. From eye expanding close ups to cartoon cover-ups and just weird shit in-between, the obvious and correct response to this one obviously is, “I’ll have what they’re having.”  The camera clearly conveys that trippin’ isn’t always trippin,’ no matter what you may have heard otherwise.
As is often the way, Hunter S. Thompson likely said it best: “I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.” Preach.
