Son Raw still can’t believe he actually did this.

Low End Theory is certainly the most unique show I’ve ever played. Coming from a Montreal rave scene that values dancing, partying and a certain sense of wild abandon, playing in front of a head nodding future Hip-Hop crowd was interesting to say the least. Going on immediately after an absolutely amazing Gaslamp Killer didn’t help my nerves either. Nevertheless, judging from the crowd’s reaction, I acquitted myself nicely – quite a few heads asked what it was exactly that I was playing (Grime mostly) and the vibe was one of deep appreciation. I’ve never seen a crowd listen to music quite like Low End and I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunity to spin there.

In any case, here’s a recording of my set for posterity’s sake. Time slots are short at Low End so my mixing is on the manic lemme-get-in-as-much-as-I-can side but that adds an edge to it if you ask me. Many thanks go to Jeff for making this happen, Daddy Kev for the hospitality and Nocando for the kind words on stage. Extra special shout outs to Construct at J’aime Le Dubstep for hosting this bad boy and additional shouts to Hissy Fit and Living~Stone for the Swanning Dubplate. Peace to Hesk and the Project crew each and every. Tracklist after the jump.
