Between “BRKLYN CLLNG” and ESKMO, shunning vowels seems to the be new all lower-case. Presumably, this will give an advantage to native Hebrew speakers, who have long seen the folly in anything that might aid and abet correct pronunciation.  You’re probably wondering who ESKMO is, considering the Planet Mu-signed, San Francisco producer only maintains a modest profile domestically. Thankfully, Dance Fever 5000 lends a hand, accurately describing him as a “fusion of extreme energy, heavy drums, broken asphalt, warped cries from the netherworld, dirty boots, distant snow-capped mountaintops and a fat dose of whomp to create his unique sound which is more than music, it is a translation of messages from highly-evolved beings of the future. They are telling us to dance.” Hopefully, these highly evolved beings supply strong drugs for those of us with sedentary inclinations.

In advance of his show Sunday night at the latest Brainfeeder Sessions, ESKMO drops a mix highlighting his best work from this year, including most of his Hypercolor EP and a Bibio remix. And if you’re in LA, the tremendously large flier for the Brainfeeder event is below the jump. Performances from Mono/Poly, ESKMO, Nosaj Thing and a DJ set from Gaslamp Killer. You can’t beat that with a seal club.
