More deliriously evil beats from LDN, this time in the form of a remix package from Spartan producer and scene stalwart Spooky. The strategy is simple: take some ill beats, chop them into a fine paste and reassemble into a Frankensteined version half-short and twice strong. The overall effect recalls the days of the SP-1200 minus the dust and decay of old funk and low bit-rates and plus the dread approved bassweight and sci-fi futurism that makes this stuff so exciting. Favorites include the R&B flipping Nicole’s Groove, a rave-ready Rude Kid edit and perhaps the best version of Cherryade yet. Recommended for those with low attention spans and high THC intakes.
