I wrote about I Come to Shanghai in October. I liked them then. I still like them now. Maybe it’s because Robert Ashley continues to tell me in every e-mail that this time I will hear the Organized Noize influence. I still don’t. Maybe you do? That said, this song goes hard (yet soft) after about the 45 second mark.

Their new album, Eternal Life Vol. 2 comes out today on their Bandcamp. They are the Ponce De Leon of the post-chill-trill-frillwave cassette tape Tumblr generation. Remember who told you that sentence first. Frillwave has next. If only the news had made it to the Zones before someone turned their televisions to static.
