The Devil returns with the video for “The Recluse.” I no longer have much room in my listening diet for folk music, but when I do, I want to drink blue whiskey with Amigo the Devil. He has a excellent new Diggers EP coming out next week and I profile him for this week’s LA Weekly column. His story is almost as interesting as the music, filled with anecdotes about cocaine and whiskey binges, good/bad tattoos, and his former life as brewer. If you are a rap fan who evades folk because you think it’s too soft, I highly recommend watching the video below the jump. It is an acoustic ballad that comes as hard as “Hells Bells.” So it goes when you steal your name from Satan.
