As promised last week, there is a new Shots Fired with San Francisco turntablist legend, DJ Qbert. He steps into the Cosmic Zoo with aplomb to discuss aliens, the Illuminati, trips to the porn store with a young Kool Keith, and the evolution of his career. There are also stories about his early years working with Mixmaster Mike, the formation of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, and his classic “Wave Twisters” movie/album, which I’m posting below the jump because I care about the children and animated octopi.

In addition, Nocando and I talk about attending an Action Bronson show, pogs, and why DMX should not have fought George Zimmerman.  You can contribute to the Kickstarter for Qbert’s new album here. You can listen to the podcast below the jump for what the bootleg queen once called “free-99.” And as you may have noticed, there’s a video above too, directed by Mike Campbell, with a major assist from Brock Jones.
