OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAfter several years spent becoming a household name in Hong Kong, Jin’s back on U.S. soil and came through Shots Fired. The first Asian-American rapper to ever release a major label solo record waxes philosophical about growing up in Florida, the fleeting nature of fame, his legendary wins on BET’s Freestyle Friday’s, working with Kanye West, his time on Ruff Ryders, battle rapping, and what he’s learning in the process. He is an inspiring person and I think it made for one of our most interesting episodes.

At the moment, Jin is amidst a PledgeMusic campaign for his second full-length English-language album, 14:59, due out this October. You can learn more and donate here. I’m posting some of his videos below the jump and the episode itself — or else this post would serve no purpose.
