It is Spring, I have survived the SXSW Hoop N’ Hang with no torn muscles and several Scola comparisons, it is time to celebrate by getting into some jazzy funk. Dam balances rigorous discipline and a rare ebullience for creation. It shows in songs like this, that (presumably) lacked the structure to make the final cut for his new album, but seem effortlessly mood-altering. As Dam said: “It’s basically, my kinda’ Jazz.” Who are you to argue?
