Credit Yung Shlohmo with the very rare ability to turn a song from a group called LOL Boys into a depressing dirge ideal for those drinking coffee in dark rooms, chain-smoking squares, and wandering around in a fugue state. The funny thing is, if you meet Henry Laufer, he is one of the most genuine and upbeat people extant. All he wants to do is cook. But his music is imbued with the sadness of someone who has spent too many seasons sequestered inside the four walls of his mind. This is best heard at night under the influence of anything you can get your hands on.
