Will Hagle’s POTW Summer Mix

Another day another mix. You're now set for summer.

Will Hagle is popping hydrants.

Wherever you are right now, it’s pretty damn hot outside. Caesar be damned; summer is here. Even if you plan on spending the season inside a windowless cube, you can see the change in energy. The sun is out there shining, Gucci Mane is free and school’s out.

We’re taught at a young age to correlate summer with complete freedom, but at a certain age, that changes. There’s no final bell. You keep filing the reports you were filing in February and the months start to blur together. Outside, violence plagues cities, and the election coverage continues. It can feel like the only thing that changes is the temperature.

This mix tries to recapture that old sense of carelessness, made especially for those who can’t tap into it as much as they’d like to. It’s also an ode to the most refreshing drink you can suck down in 90 degree heat. There’s a song called “Arnold Palmer,” a song called “Lemonade,” and at least 14 Ice-T songs. It’s gonna be a hot summer, a lot of money, no sleep.
